Dear Patients and Families,
I hope this letter finds you well and enjoying the first signs of spring. I have some news to share. After 33 years of work in Pediatrics and with much discernment, I have decided it is time to retire. My last day at Central Pediatrics will be July 15, 2022.
I have loved being a Pediatrician over these many years and it has been such a joy and a great honor to partner with families-especially parents and guardians in the care of your children and teens. And to the young people I have been the doctor for–I have enjoyed getting to know you and watching you grow-from babies to kindergartners, teens to young adults! I treasure the times when you told me stories about the pictures you drew, the books you like to read, your favorite toys, the sports you are passionate about and how you like to spend your days. I will miss you!
We have all shared many joyful milestones together and some tough times too–grief, sadness, and uncertainty. I appreciate the trust you placed in me. Thank you.
I am also grateful for the wonderful colleagues I have worked with at Central Pediatrics who are committed to excellent health care that is kind and compassionate. The Pediatric team at the Roseville and Woodbury clinics will be available to provide ongoing care for you after my retirement.
So what’s next for me? Although I’m not sure about all the details yet, I know I will be slowing down, spending more time in nature-hiking and gardening. I’ll also do some traveling – connecting with family and friends.
During this transition time, I will be available for regular appointments for physicals and office visits. I also welcome phone calls or telehealth visits to talk and/or discuss transfer of care planning. Please call or send a portal message and the clinic staff will find a time for you to meet or talk with me.
All the best for your future and good health,
Pamela Heggie, MD, IBCLC
