Kathryn Carpenter, M.D. Pediatrician At Our Woodbury Location Schedule Now Hi, I’m Dr. Carpenter! I grew up in Minnesota and then adventured all around the country as I completed my schooling—Boston, Omaha, and Salt Lake City—but I could not be more excited to be back home to help care for the community that raised me! I love being a pediatrician, from helping families navigate taking care of a newborn for the first time to helping teenagers gain the confidence to build their independence. Each phase of life comes with such special moments and I am so grateful that I can be apart of these moments! I joined Central Pediatrics in 2026, and I went into pediatrics because I want to help advocate for the patients that cannot always advocate or speak for themselves while working together with families who know these patients best. My favorite moment as a pediatrician was meeting a family with their first baby in the newborn nursery my intern year and choose me to be their primary pediatrician! It was so special having that first family “choose” me as their doctor, and I am so grateful to them as at the same time their little one grew into a toddler they taught me so much about the kind of pediatrician I want to be! My favorite things to do include spending time with animals (specifically my cats and horses!), reading, exploring National Parks, and watching Minnesota sports – skol! Helping families navigate the newborn period. Working together through stress and sickness to come up with a personalized care plan. Celebrating the wins together!.
