Paul Melchert, M.D. Board Certified Pediatrician At Our Woodbury Location Schedule Now Hi, I’m Dr. Melchert! I believe the best pediatric care combines science, partnership and compassion. I have been with Central Pediatrics since 2021, and my practice is grounded in evidence-based medicine, including the proven safety and efficacy of vaccines, while emphasizing the lifelong benefits of good nutrition and routine physical activity. I enjoy getting to know families, welcome every question with patience and respect, and strive to communicate clearly to help parents feel informed and confident in caring for their children. Parents know their child better than anyone and should feel good about the decisions they’re making. To me, it is a privilege to help children thrive while building lasting relationships with families during some of the most important moments of their lives. Outside of the clinic, I enjoy downhill skiing, hiking, and traveling with my husband and twin sons. I love cooking healthful meals and am a self-proclaimed plant geek, both indoors and outside. Undergraduate: St. Olaf College Medical School: University of Minnesota Residency: University of Minnesota Awards, Associations, and Memberships Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) A Few of my Favorite Things: Partnering with families to make thoughtful, evidence-based decisions about their child’s healthcare. Educating parents and children so they feel informed, confident, and empowered. Encouraging healthy habits through nutrition, physical activity, and preventive care. Celebrating each child’s growth, resilience, and milestones and bringing joy and humor to every visit. "One of my favorite pieces of advice for children is simple: every day, look for someone who needs a friend." —Dr. Melchert
