I have enjoyed caring for children of all ages at Central + Priority Pediatrics for over 25 years! It is an honor to watch infants grow to young adults, and support families along the journey. I believe my role is to educate and encourage healthy lifestyle choices throughout all stages of a child’s development. I love getting to know families and providing personalized care to meet the needs of each child, teen, or young adult.
My role as a proud parent of 2 children made me a better pediatrician. Now, as an empty-nester, I enjoy being active outside, biking, hiking, skiing, and traveling the world!

I am not gone yet! — but I am changing my practice to sick-visit care. This allows me to transition away from primary care and still be a part of Central Pediatrics. I will continue to have one half-day per week available for well visits, medication checks, and to help transition my patients to new providers. I am not sure exactly when I will fully retire — I have a hard time saying goodbye, and I truly love seeing kids and their families!
I want to express my sincere gratitude for the opportunity to care for your children. Over the past 27 years, I have had the privilege of watching infants grow into wonderful young adults. Thank you for sharing your successes and struggles with me. It has been such a joy to play with kids and connect with teens every day. My patients have brought me joy throughout my career.
Thank you for your patience and understanding, especially on days when I ran behind because I was spending extra time with families who needed it.
My goal has always been to educate families and support children grow into healthy, self-confident individuals who make good choices. I tried my best to help patients heal from both physical and mental health challenges. As both a parent and someone who has faced mental health struggles, I have felt deep connection and empathy with many of you. I tried to provide answers, give reassurance, and practical guidance – and when I did not have the answer, I worked to find an expert who did.
Thank you for trusting me in the care of your children! As a pediatrician who is still a kid at heart, I have truly enjoyed chatting, coloring, duck-walking, and laughing with kids and teens every day.
Stay happy and healthy – and if your children are sick, you will still find me in the sick clinic.
With gratitude,
Christine Rhodes Dekko, MD
