Are you interested in joining our team of Kid Experts? We are looking for a motivated and professional Medical Assistant or LPN to join our team. We are an independently owned practice of board-certified pediatricians who provide quality care to newborns all the way through college age. Children and their families are #1 around here and we are always focused on providing a top-notch patient experience.

Responsibilities include:

Rooming patients, which includes obtaining vitals, health histories, medication review, and updating patient’s electronic medical record

Administering vaccines

Administering medications

Vision and hearing screens

Assisting physicians

Performing some lab duties

Filling out health forms for school/daycare

Stocking rooms

Overall general support of the practice

Registered Nurse – Phone Triage (Woodbury Clinic)

Job description

Central + Priority Pediatrics is looking for a Registered Nurse to join our growing practice. Our team of kid experts provide high quality patient care in a welcoming and family-friendly environment and are seeking a professional individual with exceptional customer service and nursing experience who shares that passion to become a part of our amazing team!

This RN will provide superior service and is responsible for effectively communicating with patients. This position includes serving as a resource for patients and staff providing excellent customer service in a professional manner. This position requires critical thinking skills, problem solving skills and a strong work ethic. Tasks include but are not limited to patient phone calls, scheduling appointments, data collection, and optimization projects.

Qualified candidates will need to have excellent verbal and written communication skills, superior customer service, be highly motivated and have a positive attitude and be a team player. Candidate must also be reliable, able to multi-task, have strong computer skills and work independently in a fast paced environment. This position has multiple duties and responsibilities and is perfect for someone who has great organizational skills, pays attention to detail, and enjoys a busy atmosphere.

This position will not have direct patient contact.

Essential Functions:

  • Coordinate and facilitate communication between the patient’s requests and the providers when appropriate to ensure that timely and applicable information is given and followed up on.
  • Answer patient phone calls and gathers all pertinent information from caller including an accurate description of all symptoms/concerns.
  • Documents concisely and accurately in the electronic medical record.
  • Chooses the correct protocol based on information obtained from the caller and can determine appropriate disposition.
  • Sends appropriate patient encounters to MD to sign off on the call.
  • Completes medication re-fill requests and other administrative tasks as they arise such as providing immunization status/records and forms requests.
  • Review lab results and communicates results to the appropriate person.
  • Schedules patient appointments.
  • Demonstrates comprehension of patient care protocols in the Barton Schmitt Pediatric Telephone Protocols 15th edition.
  • Running and reviewing reports/charts to assist with the assessment and monitoring of quality metrics.
  • Re-calling patients for follow up care.

Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program with an associates degree or bachelor’s degree in nursing. Current, unrestricted MN nursing license.

Experience: 1 year pediatric nursing preferred

Rooming patients and obtaining vitals, health histories, and medication review

Injection administration

Assisting clinicians with administrative duties

Collecting COVID, Flu, Strep, and RSV swabs

Other duties within the MA scope of practice

Overall general support of the practice

Must have X-Ray Certification
