Newborns
Congratulations on the arrival of your little one, and welcome to Central + Priority Pediatrics
To provide the best care for your baby, we complete the first wellness exam within 1-3 days after your baby is home from the hospital. This visit should be scheduled by calling our office once you know your hospital discharge date. Please ask the hospital staff to send your baby’s records to Central + Priority Pediatrics. If you have questions or concerns before your appointment, please call us! Our phones are answered 24 hours a day and we are always glad to help.
We have lactation consultants on staff ready to help you with breastfeeding. Feeding your newborn may not be easy or go as planned. Our board certified lactation consultants are registered nurses who specialize in infant feeding. They are available to answer feeding and pumping questions and can assist new moms who are experiencing breastfeeding problems, such as latching difficulty, painful nursing, or low milk production and can provide support if your baby is not gaining weight as expected.
HealthyChildren.org is a resource from the American Academy of Pediatrics, offering reliable advice on children’s health, development, and parenting. The site covers topics like common illnesses, safety tips, nutrition, and developmental milestones, all reviewed by pediatricians to help parents care for their kids effectively. Another useful site is KidsHealth through Children’s Health Network. Both websites offer reasonable guidance and is developed for parents and caregivers.
